Point Break is the Kathryn Bigelow (Near Dark, The Hurt Locker, Strange Days) directed action fest that combines surfing and shooting in healthy and equal doses. FBI Agent Johnny Utah (Keanu Reeves, Speed, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, The Matrix - in his breakout action role) is recruited to infiltrate an exclusive surfing contingent suspected of being notorious bank robbers, the Ex-Presidents. Along with his partner Pappas (Gary Busey, The Buddy Holly Story, Lethal Weapon, Predator 2), Utah successfully manages to integrate himself among the close knit surfers, led by Bodhi (Patrick Swayze, Ghost, Road House, Dirty Dancing, Donnie Darko). Bodhi takes him under his wing, imparting his surfing and life philosophy on the undercover agent. Utah begins to get sucked into their adrenaline fueled world, and also begins falling for Bodhi's ex Tyler (Lori Petty, A League of Their Own, Tank Girl) and soon finds it increasingly difficult to do his job ' especially as he gets closer to snaring Bodhi's group in a dragnet.moreless
