PG-13
Poltergeist III is the third chapter of the spooky ghost franchise, directed by shock impresario Gary Sherman (Raw Meat, Dead and Buried). Carol Anne (Heather O'Rourke, in the tragic final performance of her young career) is shipped off by her family to go stay with her aunt (Nancy Allen, Robocop, Blow Out, Dressed to Kill, Carrie) in the towering skyscraper her husband (Tom Skerritt, Alien, Contact, The Dead Zone) owns. Almost immediately, strange things start to happen as it becomes apparent that the malevolent spirit leader Reverent Henry Kane (Corey Burton) is back and has followed Carole Anne to the location, seeking her aid in crossing him and his follower spirits to the other side. As the violent Poltergeist episodes escalate, Carol Anne sends psychic communiqu's to her savior from the first two films, Tangina Berans (Zelda Rubinstein) so that she may draw the tiny psychic to the complex to save her.
