Population 436 tells the story of a little village called Rockwell Falls, where the population of 436 has not changed in a hundred years. The film begins as a researcher from the Census Bureau, Steve Kady (Jeremy Sisto), is sent to investigate the town. Upon arrival, Kady gets a flat tire and has to stay at the seemingly perfect place where the residents welcome him with smiles. He soon discovers that not everything is natural about it, particularly the citizens' abnormal fear of the "fever", a sickness that afflicts only the undesirables of the society and can only be healed through electric shock therapy administered by the mysterious Dr. Greaver (David Ames). According to the citizens, God casts this sickness to anyone who tries to leave Rockwell Falls. Somehow, Kady has to find a way to escape from the "fever" and the dangerous hands of Dr. Greaver, away from the seemingly idyllic town where he also needs to save those willing to escape with him.moreless
