Powder River Rustlers, a black and white film from 1949, is a tale of power and intrigue surrounding the coming of the railroad to a small western town. For the railroad to pass through, the townspeople have saved up money to pay for a much-needed bridge. However, they are being conned by Devereaux (Douglas Evans), a fake railroad agent, claiming to be Bob Manning (Bruce Edwards), the real representative of the railroad. Luckily for the town, an actual agent, Allan "Rocky" Lane (Allan Lane), has arrived and spotted the fake attempting to defraud them. The film follows his attempts to expose the fraud, save the town's money, and build the bridge before the first trains roll through town. The film features plenty of action sequences highlighted by the presence of several stuntmen cast in secondary roles. Powder River Rustlers is an action-packed frontier drama that gives star Allan "Rocky" Lane a great role as a old-style western hero.
