Prince Valiant is a 1954 adventure film, based on Hal Foster's popular comic strip of the same name. A young Viking prince, Valiant, wants to join the Knights of The Round Table in Britain as a first step to removing the usurper Sligon from the throne of Scandia and restoring his exiled father Aguar to his rightful position. On his journey to Camelot, he comes upon the infamous Black Knight, plotting to overthrow King Arthur (Brian Aherne). Val realises that if he wants to prevent a coup d'etat against King Arthur and see the Scandian throne return to his family, he must uncover the identity of this mystery man in black armour.
