Project Moonbase, also known as Project Moon Base, is a 1953 black-and-white science-fiction film based on a novel by Robert Heinlein. The film is set in a future 1970, where the U.S. President is a woman and other woman share equal roles with men. The United States is considering setting up bases on the moon. To see if this is a possibility, they assemble a team of astronauts to orbit the moon and survey the land. The team is lead by a female rocket pilot, Colonel Breiteis (Donna Bartell) and her co-pilots, Major Bill Moore (Ross Ford), and Doctor Wernher (Larry Johns). The mission should be simple, but it turns out one member of the team is a Russian spy, who has been sent to infiltrate the team in order to sabotage the U.S.'s efforts. As the other two members of the team realize something is wrong, they desperately try to save the mission.
