Prototype X29A is a 1992 action adventure science fiction film directed and written by the low budget hack Phillip J. Roth. It is, of course, a direct to video film. The film is set in a post apocalyptic Los Angeles where a wheelchair bound war veteran named Hawkins Coselow (played by Robert Tossberg) has volunteered for an experimental cybergenic program. The program claims it can make him walk again. However it also turns him into a powerful killing machine that has been pre-programmed to kill the last surviving member of the Resistance. And how is the last surviving member of the resistance? Why, it's the woman he loves...of course. If this sounds confusing and dumb it's because it is. This is an abysmal science fiction film with no redeeming qualities. Stay far away from it unless you are in need of heavy sleep, for it will, without a doubt, put you to sleep.
