Pure Danger is a 1996 action thriller that follows the trail of a paroled convict named Johnie Dean (C. Thomas Howell) who accidentally happens upon a fortune that leads to a series of unfortunate events. The beginning of film begins with Dean working as a short order cook, trying to make ends meet in a small town after spending time in jail. One day, a gangster stumbles into the diner after being mortally wounded and before dying, leaves a pile of stolen jewels in the hands of Dean and his co-worker Becky (Teri Ann Linn). Rival gang members soon visit the diner looking for the merchandise, which prompts the two co-workers to go on the run all the way to Los Angeles. What follows is a plot to fence the jewels with the help of Dean's friend, Dice (Rick Shapiro) and a manhunt to get away from just about every gangster in town.
