Push is a 2009 science fiction thriller about secretive intelligence agencies using people with telekinetic powers to take international warfare to a supernatural level. The Division has trained a set of psychically empowered operatives that can see the future and dispose of enemies with the power of their minds. One-time Division agent, Nick Gant (Chris Evans), has escaped to the anonymous streets of Hong Kong after the murder of his father (Joel Gretsch) by the agency. Then Cassie (Dakota Fanning), a teen clairvoyant, arrives with a disturbing premonition for their future. Nick has lost his powers, but Cassie's evolving dreams speak of a dangerous future. She wants Nick's help finding Kira (Camilla Belle) who has the power to bring the agency down. Meanwhile, Division agent Henry Carver (Djimon Hounsou) has been sent to track down the renegades and wipe them out by any means necessary. Director Paul McGuigan blends action and spooky supernatural elements in this international thriller.
