Puzzle is a 2009 award-winning Argentinian dramatic film written and directed by Natalia Smirnoff, which tells the story of a housewife who suddenly discovers a fascinating occupation that makes her enthusiastic about the future. Maria (Maria Onetto) lives an uneventful life that involves doing household work and taking care of her husband Juan (Gabriel Goity) and her two boys. For her 50th birthday, she receives a puzzle as a gift from her men. She is surprised to discover that she is actually very good at solving puzzles, while immensely enjoying the process. When she visits a gift shop to buy more puzzles, she sees an announcement on the board that leads her to meet charming Roberto (Arturo Goetz), who is willing to train with her for an upcoming puzzle contest in Germany. As Maria improves her skills and receives guidance from charismatic Roberto, she is forced to become more distant and cold with her family to accomplish her dreams.
