Movie Summary

Marc Forster

Quantum of Solace is British secret agent, James Bond, who leaves a trail of bodies and explosions behind him as he hunts down the man responsible for the death of his one true love while taking down an international criminal syndicate. The young renegade is still trying to find his place in the organization, as he butts heads with his superiors who don't take kindly to his loose-cannon attitude. As his mixed-up feelings about the events of Casino Royale continue to impair his on-the-job judgment, Bond will have to learn to put his feelings aside for the sake of the job, or leave the organization behind altogether.

All dressed up with no particular place to go, this 22nd Bond film tries hard but ends up an underachiever.

  • Great action...

some bloopers also-like at one point someone looks and waves directly at the camera during a chase scene through a crowd-and 007's boat seems to magically change from having a small outboard engine to having a large inboard engine-that did it for me in terms of it going from a four star film to a two star film-I always minus a star for each blooper. The action scenes were also a bit improbable-like 007 surviving someone blasting the driver side of his car-minus its door- at point blank range with a submachine gun type of thing. Oh well-there is always the earlier 007 films-they actually seem to be much better on many levels than the newer ones.moreless
