Quicksand is a 2003 action thriller that follows the story of Martin Raikes (Michael Keaton), a New York banker who flies to Monaco to investigate some seriously questionable transactions. As the head of the compliance section of the state, he knows the implications of such a crime and soon finds that the questionable bank account belongs to film producer Lela Forin (Judith Godreche). Martin later learns that the production company who is footing the bill for Forin's next film is closely associated with a group of gangsters who try their best to stop his meddling in their shady transactions. The company eventually frames Martin for murder and scheme it to make it look his bank received a profit from it. The unknowing Lela soon learns of the plot and teams with Martin to fight back against the gangsters. Quicksand was directed by John MacKenzie and based on the book written by Desmond Lowden.
