R-Xmas is a 2001 film directed by Abel Ferrara. It follows the story of a Latin American couple (Lillo Brancato and Drea de Matteo) who live in New York. They earn their living by dealing drugs while maintaining a normal family appearance for their daughter Lisa (Lisa Valens). It is Christmas Eve and the criminal family prepares its heroin for street distribution. They suspect one of their low level street dealers is talking to the police, but will soon find out that much bigger troubles are on the way. While buying a gift, a party girl doll for Lisa, the wife is approached by a stranger who says that her husband has been kidnapped and there is a request for a large sum of money and drugs. She has to find the means to comply with the demands and free her husband if the family is going to have a happy Christmas with their beloved daughter.
