Radioland Murders is a 1994 mystery/comedy written by George Lucas (story) and Willard Huyck (screenplay). It is directed by Mel Smith. It is 1939 and WBN is about to go on air as America's fourth radio network. Penny Henderson (Mary Stuart Masterson), the station owner's personal secretary is overwhelmed. Not only with the chaos of the pending premiere, but also with a dissolving marriage, worried sponsors, an incompetent director, unpaid writers and a stressed boss. Just as the broadcast is about to begin, a mysterious voice interrupts the program, soon cast members start turning up dead. It is up to Penny and her soon-to-be ex-husband Roger (Brian Benben), to solve the murders and save the network. Solving the murders proves to be no easy task. Not only must the live broadcast continue, but the police believe Roger is the killer. Radioland Murders also features George Burns, Christopher Lloyd, Ned Beatty, and Scott Michael Campbell.
