R&B Classics (2007) is a concert film that was recorded live at The Rock 'n Roll Palace in Orlando, Florida. R&B Classics features performances by some of the most legendary names in the history of American rhythm and blues music. Sam Moore (hugely popular Grammy winning artist who gained fame as the singer of Soul Man and Hold On, I'm coming), The Coasters (one of the first African-American groups to crossover and gain acceptance from a mainstream white audience), The Shirrelles (the first female supergroup), The Countours (who were known for bringing a unique acrobatic energy to their early Motown shows), and the Tokens (number 1 chart toppers in 1961) are all featured on this video. There are also high-energy live performances from The Crystals, Martha Reeves, The Dixie Cups, The Platters, and Mary Wells. The classic songs performed include My True Story, Da Doo Ron Ron, Only You, Heatwave and Do You Love Me.
