Razortooth is a tongue in cheek horror film about a genetically engineered electric eel that terrorizes a small town in the Florida Everglades. When a group of four college students from Dr. Soren Abramson's (Simon Page) biology class head to Florida Everglades, they expect to get a little extra credit for studying a particular type of electric eel. But the ambitious biologists soon suspect that their assignment is not so routine, when they find the water animal is a an overgrown experiment in genetic mutation by Abramson himself. Meanwhile, after reports of animal deaths along the river alert local Sheriff Ruth Gainey-Coates (Kathleen LaGue), she contacts animal control, headed up by her ex-husband Delmar Coates (Doug Swander). But as the former couple seeks to find out just what the giant creature is, Sheriff Coates is asked to track down a couple of escaped convicts, Eddie (Max Rishoj) and Sal (Josuha Rubin). As terror build, with the large water snake proving to be a formidable enemy and uncontrollable menace, the band of unexpected allies must join together to try and fend off a most unnatural disaster. Patricia Harrington directs this creature feature that is low on subtlety.moreless
