Read You Like a Book is a 2006 drama directed by Robert N. Zagone. The story focuses on a tight-knit group of employees and patrons of a small Berkeley bookstore. The employees include Dante (Tony Amendola) the mysterious book store manager and Norman (Ricardo Gil) a clerk and expert conspiracy theorist. The frequent customers include Zoe (Barbara Crampton) Dante's ex-girlfriend, whose life is a mess and not getting better, Marcia (Shaun Landry) a smart-mouth movie guru and Gina (Catalina Martone), a self-proclaimed know-it-all, who is unlucky in love. One day, a seemingly ordinary book is dropped off by a creepy stranger. The mysterious book is designated for the group of employees and customers. As each person takes a turn exploring the book, strange things begin to happen. Each person seems to have individual reactions to the book, but they all seem to center around mistakes each of them has made in the past. Are these mysterious happenings coincidences, or does the ordinary book have extraordinary abilities?moreless
