Real Time is a 2008 thriller about a compulsive gambler, Andy (Jay Baruchel), who is given one hour to live by the hit man, Reuben (Randy Quaid), sent to kill him. Andy owes an unseen local gangster more money than he can pay, digging himself into a hole he cannot talk himself out of. Reuben has known Andy since he was a kid and when he begs for one hour to live, he obliges. Reuben asks Andy how he wants to spend the last hour his life. At first Andy says he wants to hire a prostitute, but when that fails miserably, he asks Reuben to take him to his grandmother's house. Even that scene takes a turn for the worst leaving Andy and Reuben with only each other. Real Time, as the title suggest, takes place in real-time. This independent film is from Imagine Entertainment and is written and directed by Randall Cole.
