Rear Window is the 1954 thriller classic directed by Master of Suspense Alfred Hitchcock (Psycho, North by Northwest, Vertigo, The Birds, Strangers on a Train), standing as one of his best and most beloved films. Photographer L.B. Jeffries (James Stewart, It's a Wonderful Life) is laid up in his apartment with a broken leg clad in a cast, bored out of his mind and anxious to get back in the exciting game he loves. His only frequent visitors are his care giver Stella (Thelma Ritter) and his classy, high brow flame Lisa Carol Freemont (Grace Kelly, High Noon) who brings him love and dinner from 21. One day, Jeffries' boredom is counteracted by his witnessing of an alleged murder in the apartment across the way from his. Jeffries huge picture window offers him a huge view of his neighbors and he had taken to spying on them out of boredom with a telescope. Now, Jeffries must fight to prove the murder before the alleged perpetrator can do anything about it.moreless
