Rebellious, written and directed by the late stuntman Bernhard Pock, updates Lewis Carroll's classic story, Alice in Wonderland into a modern fairy tale set in the American west. In the film, Pock plays Jeremy Duff, a biker poet who sets out on a lonely journey of self-discovery through the desert. His solitude is interrupted when he encounters the young Deb (Amber Tamblyn). After he rescues her from a group of kidnappers, helping her elude her captors becomes his new priority as the pair travels through the desert. Throughout the journey, they meet a variety of strange and scary characters who nevertheless possess useful information. Although she is well-known for her appearances in several movie and TV roles including Joan of Arcadia and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Rebellious is one of actress Amber Tamblyn's earliest roles. Released in 1995, the film also features her father, Russ Tamblyn, in a small role.
