Red Green Duct Tape Forever the Movie, starring Steve Smith and Patrick McKenna, is the 2001 feature length version of the popular PBS comedy The Red Green Show. Our heroes, Red Green and Harold Green, are working as handymen at the Possum Lodge when an evildoer loses his limo in a sinkhole in front of the lodge. When he demands ten thousand dollars in damages, Red and Harold venture to Minnesota to compete in a duct-tape contest. Hoping to take home the third place prize of ten thousand dollars, the irreverent duo builds a giant goose out of duct tape. The road-trip style extended version of the show has been much adored by fans of the original. The show's self-deprecating and crass humor regarding sexuality is continued into the film, making it slightly confusing for those who aren't familiar with the source material. Directed by Eric Till and written by Steve Smith, Red Green's Duct Tape Forever the Movie is a slapstick screwball comedy set in the backwoods of Canada.moreless
