Red Riding Hood is a 2011 film directed by Catherine Hardwicke that details the story of a beautiful young girl named Valerie (Amanda Seyfried) that is torn between two boys. Peter (Shiloh Fernandez) is an orphan woodsman who is kind and brave, but is not nearly as promising as a suitor in the eyes of Valerie's family as the wealthy Henry (Max Irons). Valerie and Peter plan to run off together until they find out that Valerie's sister has been killed by a werewolf that has haunted the forest surrounding the village for years. The werewolf is usually given an animal sacrifice once a month, but now that a human life has been taken, master werewolf hunter Father Solomon (Gary Oldman) is summoned to the village. He tells the village the werewolf takes the form of a human during the day and ergo could be any one of the townspeople, sending the community into a paranoid terror. What hope do they have when they don't know who they're running from?moreless
