Red Water is a 2003 made-for-TV horror film about a river boat operator and former oil man hired to guide two people up a Louisiana river to an oil rig that has recently struck big money. What should be an easy ride to riches, however, turns into a terrifying fight for survival when a bull shark begins feeding on any human it can find. Lou Diamond Phillips plays John Sanders, a man who quit the oil business when four of his men died in a rig explosion. These days he's barely making a living as a fisherman. He has no money and might lose his boat to the bank. His ex-wife comes to his aid, offering him an easy job taking her and her boss up river. Things get complicated when they run into two dangerous thugs looking for a lost fortune in drug money at the bottom of the river. As both parties scramble to find the loot and survive, a bull shark shows up with a killer appetite. Red Water is a unique underwater horror film about the dangers of human greed and one fresh water killing machine that won't stop until there's no more food in the water.moreless
