Redemption of the Ghost is a 2002 family drama centered around the innocence of children and the marvelous powers they unknowingly possess. The film was written by Gene Bicknell and Darrel Campbell. Richard Friedman directs. Witt Hampton (Gene Bicknell), an older businessman, is incarcerated on accounts of embezzlement. When he miraculously escapes prison, he seeks a secret hideout where he plans on staying until the raucous hype surrounding his case settles. Hampton stumbles upon a seemingly abandoned barn and sets camp. Much to his dismay, he is discovered by a pair of kids one morning. In a fleeting effort to hide his identity, Hampton tells the little tykes he's a ghost. But as a strong bond forms between him and the children, he begins to feel remorse for his actions and eventually turns himself in. Unfortunately for Hampton, the local sheriff doesn't show too much mercy despite his efforts to do right. The film co-stars Diane Ladd, John Savage, Alexandra Paul, John Enos III, Patrick Labyorteaux, Nicolette Little, Rachel Hunter, Scott Terra and Gene Bicknell. Redemption of the Ghost is a film to be enjoyed by the entire family.moreless
