Redline 7000 is the 1965 racing classic written and directed by Howard Hawks. It follows the lives of three tenacious race car drivers, their face-paced sport, and their relationships with their fearful wives. Mike (James Caan), Ned (John Robert Crawford), and Dan (Skip Ward) have an intense need for speed and are willing to risk their own safety to excel at the career of their dreams. However, the women closest to them can only wring their hands as they watch these driven drivers. However, the relationships wind through roads more curvy than a racetrack, as womanizing Dan brings his girlfriend Gabrielle (Marianna Hill) from Paris only to discover she may not be loyal to him. Meanwhile, Pat Kazarian (Norma Alden), the manager of the racing team, tries to keep the peace between them so they can keep the pace on the track. Everything is up for grabs when the dangers of racing bring them all to face the realities of life and death.moreless
