Remember the Day is a heartwarming 1941 film from coveted director Henry King. It follows the story of elderly schoolteacher Nora Trinell (Claudette Colbert). This movie showcases Nora's teaching career through the years and shows how much she loved teaching her students and being at school. During the story, Nora wants desperately to meet presidential nominee Dewey Roberts (John Shepperd Strudwick). When she realizes that he is running for the presidency, she remembers having him as a student in 1916. Because he was her student, she really wants to meet him and see what kind of man he has become over the years. He is also related to a man named Dan Hopkins (John Payne). Dan was the love of Nora's life. Dan and Nora got married, and they were so happy together, but one day Nora lost Dan in a tragic accident.
