Movie Summary

Director:
Bob Logan
Released:
1990
Rating:
PG-13
Repossessed is a hilarious spoof of the classic horror film "The Exorcist." It starts with Father Jedediah Mayil (Leslie Nielsen), casting the Devil out of a young woman named Nancy Aglet (Linda Blair). The exorcism is successful, but Nancy becomes repossessed just seventeen years later while watching a religious TV show. She begs Jedediah to perform the exorcism again, but he claims he's retired and refuses. After some soul-searching, however, the Father gets back into shape and agrees to conduct the exorcism. There is only one catch: The exorcism has to be performed on a TV show, with the Devil as the host. Faced with completely new ground, Jedediah is forced to improvise and find all new ways of getting the Devil out and freeing Nancy. The film was directed by Bob Logan, and stars Linda Blair in the exact same role as the one she played in the original "Exorcist" film.
