As released by IGN: Today at the San Diego Comic Con, fans were treated to the first footage from the Capcom / Sony Pictures Entertainment collaboration, Resident Evil: Degeneration. Making its theatrical debut this fall in Japan and coming to DVD and Blu-ray in North America later in 2008, this spectacular, all-CGI animated feature takes the zombie action to a whole new level with its ground-breaking visual effects and thrilling new storyline. The "Umbrella Incident" that took place in Raccoon City ended with a missile attack ordered by the government intended to wipe out the deadly zombie virus. Following this catastrophe, the Umbrella Corporation's stock plummeted. This serious blow to the business giant resulted in its complete dissolution. Seven years later, at an airport somewhere in the United States, on an ordinary autumn afternoon, a zombie is unleashed. Now, in an airport beginning to fill with the undead, the horrific disaster is about to repeat itself... Claire Redfield, now a member of an NGO supporting victims of bioterrorism and medical disasters, happens to be in the airport while Leon S. Resident Evil: Degeneration is an animated zombie horror film directed by Makoto Kamiya that follows Claire Redfield (Alyson Court) as she tries to leave behind the incidents at Raccoon City while working for TerraSave, a group that tries to handle chemical and biological attacks. When she’s handling a typical family-aide situation at the Harvardville Airport, a plane arrives with a T-virus infected man, who soon attacks and infects the entire population of the plane. As the outbreak spreads, Claire, her friend’s niece Rani Chawla (Michelle Ruff), and U.S. Senator Ron Davis (Michael Sorich), try to wait it out in the VIP lounge. Help comes in the form of Special Response Team officers Angela Miller (Laura Bailey) and Greg Glenn (Steve Blum) as well as agent Leon S. Kennedy (Paul Mercier). When the T-virus vaccines are destroyed by a revenge seeking fighter, Claire, Leon, Angela, and Greg fight to stop the spread of not only the T-virus but the deadlier biohazard of the parasitic G-virus before an incident like Raccoon City happens again.moreless
