Return to Sleepaway Camp is a 2008 horror film written and directed by Robert Hiltzik. The action takes place in Camp Manabe, a typical looking summer camp for children. However, Camp Manabe has a deadly history, as featured in the original Sleepaway Camp film, but that has not deterred a new batch of eager campers from showing up for a summer of fun. The children are plagued by inept and cruel counselors, unsanitary eating conditions and fellow campers who torment the more vulnerable children. As the bullying starts to progress into more lethal acts, camp owner Frank (Vincent Pastore) and his junior partner Ronnie (Paul DeAngelo) recognize a horrifying pattern of death, which they seemingly have no power to stop. While the counselors and campers struggle to uncover the murderer, they are witness to several gruesome scenes that involve the use of hot oil, gasoline and hungry rats. Neither the adults nor the children feel safe in this death camp, and they must all protect themselves to ward-off being the next victim.moreless
