Movie Summary

Director:
Jeff Kanew
Released:
1984
Rating:

Revenge of the Nerds is a comedy about a group of nerds who battle a jock fraternity at college. The film opens with Gilbert Lowell (Anthony Edwards) and Lewis Skolnick (Robert Carradine) heading off to Adams College. Having been picked on throughout high school, both hope that things will be different in college. They quickly learn, though, that things are exactly the same when the Alpha Beta fraternity takes over their dorm rooms after accidentally burning down their own frat house. The nerds realize that the only way they will ever lead a better life is to form a fraternity of their own. Unfortunately, Stan Gable (Ted McGinly), the leader of the Alpha Betas, still won't leave the nerds alone and vandalizes their new house. The nerds ultimately come to the conclusion that their last hope lies in taking over the Greek Council. To do that, they will need to win the ridiculous contests of the Greek Games. But can a group of nerds ever hope to beat a fraternity full of the top jocks on campus?moreless
