Revenge of the Sun Demon, AKA What's up, Hideous Sun Demon, is 1983 comedic reedited and redubbed version of the 1959 film The Hideous Sun Demon. It was written and directed by Robert Clarke. In this sort of pointless but funny comic adaptation the titular monster (named Ishmael Pivnik) with the big sex drive and scaly skin is voiced by none other than everyone's least famous late night talk show host Jay Leno (before he was very famous, of course). This version has the monster afflicted by a suntan lotion that works from the inside out, giving horrific results. Certain bits of new footage have also been spliced into the film to emphasis the sex joke aspect of this redone film (there is a quest for condoms and the inclusion of an over sized sex toy). Oddly enough Jay Leno is not credited for his voice over work in this film and his name doesn't appear in the credits at all.moreless
