Revolution Summer is a 2007 dramatic film written and directed by Miles Montalbano, which tells the story of three young city dwellers who are looking for ways to make their lives meaningful and exciting. Hope (Mackenzie Firgens) is a young woman who dreams of saving the society from the irresponsibility of her country's political leaders who, in her opinion, are not putting enough effort into stopping the war in Iraq. Her friend Francine (Lauren Fox), is a completely different woman, who is satisfied with the fun and excitement of the present day and seems to be happy with her life that includes drugs and casual sexual encounters. In her search for a friend that will share her ideals, Hope meets Frankie (Samuel Child), who is more than happy to introduce her to his radical political activities. At first Hope is enthusiastic about finding a person that is willing to get involved in changing the society and the political climate, but she soon realizes that Frankie is tempting her to become part of a criminal act.moreless
