Ride, Ranger, Ride is a 1936 western directed by Joseph Kane. In the film, The Texas Rangers are being relieved of their duties because the U.S. Calvary is taking over the Ranger's responsibilities. It is believed that the Comanches and the Calvary are at peace, so no one is expecting any problems with the Indians. As a result, Texas Ranger Gene Autry (Gene Autry) and his comrades Rube (Max Terhune) and Frog Mitthouse (Smiley Burnette) are assigned to guard an Army wagon that is carrying ammunition and supplies for the U.S. Calvary. Autry tries to warn the Calvary that the Comanche Indians are planning an attack, but none of them are interested in listening to him. Despite explicit instructions to stand down, Autry leads his group of Rangers as they try to stop the intended sneak attack. Can Autry stop the attack before it is too late, or is he mistaken and there is no intended attack?
