Ring of Fear is a 1954 mystery/action film. Dublin O'Malley (Sean McClory) is a patient at a mental institution who has been diagnosed with homicidal tendencies. He lives up to this diagnosis by killing a guard and escaping from the facility. He sets out to find his former obsession, Valerie (Marian Carr), and discovers she is now an aerialist with the Clyde Beatty Circus and married to her partner, Armand St. Dennis (John Bromfield). O'Malley also holds a grudge against Clyde Beatty (playing himself), and he sets out to ruin the circus. He enlists the help of Twitchy (Emmett Lynn), an alcoholic clown, by blackmailing him. The crew becomes fearful and begins to believe the show is cursed, so Beatty calls in Mickey Spillane (playing himself), a crime author, to investigate. Now Spillane must figure out who or what is behind the circus' bad luck while trying to survive the experience.
