Robin Hood is a Disney animated film directed by Wolfgang Reitherman that features an all-animal cast of characters. King Richard the Lionheart (Peter Ustinov), who is quite literally a lion, is leading the Crusades, leaving the evil Prince John (Phil Harris) to rule Nottingham in his absence. With the help of Sir Hiss (Terry Thomas) and the Sheriff of Nottinghan (Pat Buttram), Prince John takes every last farthing from the poor citizens of the kingdom. Robin Hood (Brian Bedford), is a cunning fox who defies Prince John by robbing from the rich to get money for the poor. He is in love with the beautiful Maid Marian (Monica Evans), a vixen in Prince John's court. He woos Maid Marian as he steals the prince's money, leaving Prince John frustrated as Robin Hood outfoxes him at every turn. Robin Hood provides young children with a captivating, hilarious introduction to the well-known English folktale.

  • Watched on ABC Family before Dumbo on Disney Jr.

It's a solid movie, but not quite as solid as The Rescuers or The Jungle Book. Also aired last week on Disney Jr.
  • Airs tonight in 2 and a half hours!

Just to let people know. It previously aired on March 9. There's still a bunch of great classics they haven't aired yet. ESPECIALLY Gordy. I am going to try to get Disney Jr. to air Gordy. THEY HAVE TO!
  • Another Robin Hood in a theme done to death

I think Disney channel should try to make more original stories instead of just using themes. I also heard Reynard the Fox was originally going to be stared in this film but got cut due to not being hero material. Too bad, would have felt more original.
