Rating:
PG-13

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (Extended Cut) is definitely up there as one of the best adaptations of this famous story. The movie was directed by Kevin Reynolds and produced by Warner Brothers Pictures in 1991. The movie is set in the medieval times and revolves around the story of Robin Hood (Kevin Costner) and his Moorish companion Azeem (Morgan Freeman) as they enter England and attempt to fight the tyrannical rule of the Sheriff of Nottingham (Alan Rickman). They were captured by the Turkish during the Christian Crusades, which is where they met, before they were brought to England. The trouble begins when Robin's father is murdered by the Sheriff and Robin vows revenge. From then on he becomes a rogue bandit and a champion of the poor. He joins a band of exiled villagers and eventually becomes the leader of their group, vowing to cleanse the land of the Sheriff's evil rule. The story may remain the same, but each adaptation has its own unique twist and this is no different.
