Directed and produced by Wolfgang Reitherman, Robin Hood depicts the classic story of Robin Hood through the eyes of anthropomorphic animals. Robin Hood (Brian Bedford) is a fox, who along with his bear friend Little John (Phil Harris), steal from the rich and give to the poor in Nottingham. This angers the Sheriff of Nottingham (Pat Buttram), and as a result the outlaws Hood and John are always being hounded by him and his guards. Things become worse for the impoverished in Nottingham, when the evil acting king, lion Prince John (Peter Ustinov), comes into town demanding that everyone pay more taxes to the rich. Robin Hood and Little John fight to save the poor in Nottingham and to win back Robin's true love vixen Maid Marian (Monica Evans).moreless
