Movie Summary

Director:
Claude Lelouch
Released:
2007
Rating:
R
Roman De Gare tells a story about several people who are caught up in a murder investigation. The police must track down and arrest a serial killer before someone else in the community is next. The film draws the audience in by switching from past to present time, telling the story of each character, during an interview with a woman named Judith Ralitzer (Fanny Ardant); police are curious about her connections to one of the suspects. This film features an array of characters, including Huguette (Audrey Dana). She is a woman who gets 'stuck' at a rest stop after her husband leaves her, while traveling to the French Alps. Another interesting character mentioned is Huguettes daughter, Sabrina (Shaya Lelouch), who was abandoned by her as a baby. Huguette decided that she would live a better life in Paris and gave Sabrina to her parents. The accusations in the film shift between the characters and in the end, the police must decide who the killer is before he strikes again.moreless
