Romance and Cigarretts is a 2005 (released in 2006) musical film that tells a very true, gritty, story about life in a working class neighborhood in Queens, New York. The film follows Nick Murder (James Gandolfini) as a husband who journeys into the dark and lonely world of infidelity. The film dives into the idea of redemption as Nick adultery and almost sick fascination with a flame-red haired seductress, named Tula (Kate Winslet), becomes all too serious. Nick's heartbroken and long-suffering wife, Kitty Kane (Susan Sarandon), his new-found adultery with this hot temptress is the final straw in years of pain and anguish. With absolutely no faith left in her own husband, Kitty surprised even herself with the viciousness of her anger as she tries hard to deal with Nick's betrayal. It is only through a tragic twist of fate that Nick's eyes are finally opened to the extent of pain in which he had inflicted on his entire family. It's almost too late for him to realize the essential value of his wife's love and respect.moreless
