Romance of the West is a classic musical western directed by Robert Emmett Tansey and written by Frances Kavanaugh. In this 1946 film, Antelope Valley is home to a tribe of peaceful Indians, and is also the site of a newly discovered vein of silver. The villainous selectmen of the nearby town want the valley and the silver for themselves, so they employ outlaw Indians to stir up trouble and turn the town against the friendly tribe. Between musical numbers, singing cowboy Eddie Dean (played by Eddie Dean), who has been recently installed as the town's Indian agent, sets out to prove that the residents of Antelope Valley are being wronged. Songs featured in this raucous western romp include "Ridin' the Trail to Dreamland", "Indian Dawn" and "Love Song of the Waterfall". Produced by Producers Releasing Corporation (PRC), Romance of the West is sure to provide delightful viewing for the entire family.
