Ron White: They Call Me "Tater Salad" was directed by Micheal Drumm and released in 2004. It was originally filmed as a television special for CMT. The film is a stand up comedy routine, starring Ron White, the sharp witted Texan who was the most controversial of the comedians in the popular Blue Collar Comedy Tour Series. He comes onto the stage with his cigar, glass of scotch, tousled hair-do and extensive suit in a tradition that is uniquely his own. His bits, which include a lengthy section of "Things That Bug Me," are inspired by real life and include: jokes about his ex-wife, a discussion of flying, an introduction to his dog, information about his family, significant events from his childhood and much more. Ron White's comedy is best known for his commentary on social and political issues and his sarcastic approach to life. His performance is a refreshing mix of favorite bits from previous stand-up performances and completely new routines.moreless
