Rottweiler is a 2005 Spanish film directed by Brian Yuzna and starring William Miller, Paulina Galvez, Paul Naschy, and Ivana Baquero. In 2018, prisoner Dante (Miller) and his cellmate escape from a detention center for illegal immigrants despite the watchful eye of Kufard (Nascy), the warden. Having never had an inmate escape before, Kufard releases a Rottweiler loose in hopes of hunting down Dante. The dog was beaten as a puppy to toughen it up and operated on to become have robot. The indestructible dog can smell Kufard from miles away and is on the hunt to catch the escapee. Dante eventually reaches Puerto Angel, the city where he last left his girlfriend Ula (Irene Montala). In flashbacks we see his previous life before the detention center. Rottweiler was poorly received by critics and was a financial failure at the box-office.
