Round-Up Time in Texas brings Western movie icon Gene Autry (Gene Autry) back to the screen, hurrying out of Texas to deliver a herd of horses to his brother, Tex (Ken Cooper). Tex has sent word he's struck it rich in South Africa with a diamond mine. Gene loads up his trusty stallion Champion and sets sail with Frog Millhouse (Smiley Burnette) but their arrival in Dunbar, South Africa, brings bad news. Tex is charged with killing his partner and has gone missing. Gene knows there must be a mistake but before he can investigate, he's set up for illegal diamond buying by saloon owner John Cardigan (Le Roy Mason). Gene and Frog elude the local authorities and must talk their way out of a native village to make their way to Tex's diamond mine, where they hope to find the truth. The 1937 Western was directed by Joseph Kane and written by Oliver Drake. Republic Pictures released the film.
