Route 9 is a movie set in a small town in the United States, featuring 2 deputy sheriffs who are the first responders on a case along Highway Route 9. Being the first people to arrive, Booth Parker (Kyle MacLachlan) and Dwayne Hogan (Peter Coyote), notice that it was a drug deal gone bad. Yet the bodies of dead dealers where not the only thing that caught their eye; a suitcase stuffed with $1.5 million dollars lay right beside the car. In the moment of greed, Parker and Hogan decides to split the loot and burn up the remaining evidence to cover up the deed. Realising that there was one survivor who witnessed their doings, Parker and Hogan decides that the best way to silence the man is to kill him. Things spun out of control when the DEA reveals the identity of an undercover agent who was one of the casualties in the Route 9 incident. The pair eventually goes to extreme measures to attempt some damage control.
