Rudolph's Shiny New Year is an animated movie that begins when Rudolph returns from delivering presents with Santa Claus. Father Time explains to Rudolph that the next Baby New Year, Happy, is missing and asks Rudolph to find him before New Year's Eve. If Happy isn't found before the strike of midnight, it will be December 31 forever. Rudolph sets off on his journey with General Ticker, a military clock, and The Great Quarter Past Five, a camel with a large timepiece in his hump. They travel to the Archipelago of Last Years where Father Time believes Happy is hiding. As they near the islands, they meet Big Ben, a whale with a clock attached to his tail. Rudolph and his friends visit several islands searching for Happy meeting new and interesting people along the way. But Aeon, the villainous giant buzzard, has his own plans to delay the new year.
