Runaway Bride is the 1999 romance comedy that reunites American sweetheart Julia Roberts with her Pretty Woman costar Richard Gere and their director Garry Marshall, and is now available on Amazon. Ike Graham (Geere), a shamanisticc reporter, hears a great bar story of the bride - Maggie Carpenter - that always leaves her various grooms at the altar. After printing a slanderous column about the story without learning any of the facts, he loses his job by his editor/ex-wife and decides to travel down to Maryland for the runaway bride's (Roberts) latest nuptials and witness the event for himself. As he meets her, her family, and high school football coach fiance, he surprisingly teaches her to face her fears. But just when his story seems to have it's great ending, his own feelings get in the way, and he steps up behind the outside looking in. Also stars Joan Cusack, Christopher Meloni, and Rita Wilson.
