Running Home is a Canadian suspense film that tells the story of Matt (Kristian Ayre), an orphan street kid, who witnesses a murder. Little does he know, the assassin is police officer Steiner (Derek Eyamie). As Matt escapes Steiner's pursuit, the bad cop recognizes the street orphan and desperately tries to frame him for the murder. Matt then meets the honest cop Jay, (Adam MacDonald) and helps him solve a robbery. Tried of street living and running from Steiner, Matt decides to look for his biological mother. Jay, in exchange for Matt's help, discovers where his mother lives and leads Matt to her. Matt then decides to get cleaned up and meets Julia (Claudia Christian), his mother, who has no idea that Matt is the son she gave up for adoption many years ago. Hoping that Julia wants him back, Matt accepts Julia's offer to do some work around her house. He then finds space in the ceiling of a department store to live and makes a real friend. Just when everything is returning to normal, Officer Steiner discovers Matt's place and with the help of Julia, his new friend and Officer Jay, Matt seeks to make everything right.moreless
