Rustlers on Horseback is a classic cowboy film that features surprises, mystery and plenty of action. Sloan Junction is a quaint town, set in the bustling pioneer badlands of 1800's America. The lowly book salesmen George Parradine (John Eldredge) is ignored by most of the townspeople, which is fine by him. He has a secret that he would rather keep hidden. Parradine is actually the ringleader of a local group of bandits and their next target is none other than Josh Taylor (Forrest Taylor), a visiting easterner who is planning to invest a large sum into the Reynolds Ranch, the very same Ranch that Parradine and his gang are using as a hideout. Fortunately for Taylor, Marshall Rocky Lane (Allan Lane) gets involved and helps to bring the lawless bunch to justice before they can execute their sinister plan. Released in 1950, this Republic Pictures film was directed by Fred C. Brannon.
