Safari 3000 is a 1982 film that blends comedy and adventure, shot on location in Africa. Playboy reporter J.J. Dalton (Stockard Channing) has an amazing idea for a story. J.J. wants to travel to Africa to cover a daring three-day rally, complete with a dangerous obstacle course. Not content to sit on the sidelines, J.J. wants to ride in an actual race car while she reports on the rally. When J.J.'s hired car and driver wind up missing, J.J. is not ready to give up so easily. Instead, she convinces a daring ex-stuntman, Eddie (David Carradine), to serve as a last-minute replacement. The two take off on a wild and rowdy ride across the savannas. Eddie also has to deal with an imposing rival, Count Borgia (Christopher Lee). As the rally roars across Africa, Eddie and J.J. have to figure out their new feelings for each other and how to outwit the ruthless Count Borgia on their way to victory.
