Sam's Lake is a 2006 horror film directed by Andrew C. Erin. The film is inspired by a murder mystery turned legend regarding a massacre near Sam's lake. The film's main character is the young woman Sam (played by Fay Masterson). Every summer she returns home to a secluded lakeside cottage in a deep forest that she grew up in so as to reconnect with her memories and traditions. The other guests to the lake this year are a group of young hip urbanites. With them Sam and her local childhood friend Jesse (played by William Gregory Lee) go to revisit the site of the legendary murder by the lake. Once there they, of course, come face to face with the terrifying legend...Can they survive or will they end up dead as well? This is a low budget independent horror film, and it shows. The acting is overall rather poor and the horror elements aren't that horrific. Watch at your own risk!moreless
